Next Meeting of the East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum: Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum, Saturday 21st April 2018.

The next meeting of the East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum will be at the Bilsthorpe Heritage and Mining Museum on Saturday, 21st April 2018 (11am – 2.30pm).  The days events will include a guided tour of the mining section of the Bilsthorpe Museum, a free buffet lunch followed by the third meeting of the Coalmining Heritage Forum at 1.00pm.

The East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum was set up in 2017 at Nottingham Trent University to help improve communications and networking between coalmining organisations and interested individuals in the former East Midlands Coalfield.  It also aims to try and ensure important coalmining collections and documents in the region are not lost.

The Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum can be found on Cross Street, Bilsthorpe, just off the A614 road.
