East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum: Next meeting Saturday 27th October 2018 at Papplewick Pumping Station.

The next meeting of the East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum will take place at the Papplewick Pumping Station site on Saturday, 27th October 2018 from 11am – 3pm.  The Papplewick site houses the preserved Linby Colliery Steam Winding Engine and a local coalmining exhibition.

The East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum was set up in 2017 with the main aim of improving communication and networking between coalmining heritage groups and interested individuals in the former East Midlands coalfields region.

Venue: Papplewick Pumping Station, NG15 9AJ.

Date: Saturday, 27th October 2018. (11am – 3pm)

Timetable.

10.30am – 11.00am:   Meet at the Papplewick Pumping Station site.  Parking available on site through the main gates.

11.00am – 12.30pm:   4th meeting of the East Midlands Coalmining Heritage Forum (EMCHF).

12.30pm – 1.15pm:   Tea / Coffee and light refreshments.

1.15pm – 3.00pm: Visit around the pumping station site including the former Linby Colliery Steam Winding Engine and an exhibition of local coalmining.

FREE EVENT: Anyone with an interest in the coalmining heritage of the East Midlands is welcome to attend.
