Breach House – Heritage Open Days 2017
Breach House Open Days
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2017 (11am – 3pm)
Members of the DH Lawrence Society will be on hand to guide visitors around this historic property and former pit house. The Lawrence family lived at the Breach House from 1887 to 1891. The house became the inspiration for the Bottoms in Lawrence’s 1913 novel, Sons and Lovers. In addition to the guided tours there will be readings of Lawrence’ s work and some which reflect on Eastwood’s coalmining past. The Open Days are part of the 2017 Heritage Open Days and the 2017 DH Lawrence Festival of Culture.
Venue: The Breach House, 28 Garden Road, Eastwood, NG16 3FW.
Admission: Free. Donations help towards the upkeep of the house.
The Breach House is a meeting place for the Arts, Industry and Education
